The Floral Clock & Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, Canada

This unique attraction (located just south of the "Queenston-Lewiston International Bridge"...where Interstate 190 turns into HWY 405 on the Canadian side) is a very popular stop on the Niagara Parkway. You can park here for FREE and then pay to take the tourist "tram-shuttles" to get to the falls viewing areas on the Canadian side of The Falls.

The planted face is maintained by the Niagara Parks horticultural staff, while the "mechanics" of the clock are maintained by Ontario Hydro (that's "canadian" for Ontario Power)...the folks who originally built the clock. The intricate designs on the face of the timepiece are created with up to 16,000 carpet bedding plants. The floral design is changed twice each year...once in the Spring and once in the Summer.

Above, you see Bill, Connie & Laura enjoying the Floral Clock.
